Prestaflator improvements for 2009:

Easy Grip Presta Head

The all-brass slide-on / slide-off head has always been a favorite for speed, reliability and ease of use. Now it's even easier with a larger diameter grip. Small change - BIG difference. Easy to grab and pull off when inflation is done. It also includes our Patent Pending 2-way connector. Screw it onto the Prestaflator threaded connector or directly clamp it to a hose. It has a 5/16" taper that will fit most hoses between 1/4" and 3/8" inner diameter.

Pressure Gauge

This year's gauge still has our high-grade copper internal mechanicals - reputed for long-lasting accuracy and reliability. The gauge housing is now made of a heavy-gauge steel underneath the rubber cover. It's more than twice as shock & impact resistant.

Air Hose

We've replaced our hose with the latest technology: Braid-Reinforced Polyurethane. Superior to Rubber or PVC, it's more flexible, non-marring, and is resistant to moisture, fungi, oils, fuels, and greases as well as abrasion, impact, and tearing. Operating temperature range is from -90° to +175°F. The gloss black finish conceals dirt, grime and grease and will simply wipe clean. It's so revolutionary, we're selling the hose by itself as an upgrade item for previous Prestaflators.

Variable-Rate trigger

We've improved our long-throw, narrow-pin variable-rate trigger plunger. It now uses a one-piece Zinc metal housing for less flex and greater accuracy. The one-piece design comes out easily for servicing, keeping the mechanism intact when removed. The new housing also allows us to reduce the spring rate. The new lighter action makes accurate inflation even easier than before.

Improved Body / Handle finish

We've stepped-up the finishing process on the the Cast aluminum handle. This year's Prestaflator handle shines brighter than a new chrome bumper on a '57 Chevy.

Quick Connect Coupler

We engineered the fit of the quick connect coupler so that it comes installed using an internal rubber washer. There's no messy glue or thread tape. If users want to change the adapter, there's no wasted time cleaning the threads.
